Ramblings on the 4th chakra

Well, it's about that time.  A month and a half has passed and I again feel pulled to write on the next chakra, the 4th.

The 4th chakra is your heart center.  It is "the center" in many ways.  It is the center of your seven chakras, when you live from your heart you are more "centered," balanced and happy, and your heart connects heaven and earth, serving as the center between them.  We are here on earth, in part, to learn about love in many different ways and forms.  We have loved ones on the other side assisting us in this journey, and our mother and father in heaven love and adore us, their children.  Love is what gives us the desire to unite as a human family and raise up to something higher, and to bring all of the loved ones we can with us.

Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of love for giving every ounce of his being, his life, his pain, his joy, and yes, his unconditional love to us, his very flawed brothers and sisters.  He was the ultimate example of love when he healed the leper, caring more for the leper than for himself, and he was the ultimate example of love when he said, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone,"  and "forgive them Father for they know not what they do."  The Lord, our brother, showed us through out his ministry on earth how to live with an open heart.  Oh if we could only be taught by him how to keep our hearts so open despite being spit upon by life in various ways.

This is by no means an easy task.  It is much easier to react to our emotional lives in an "eye for an eye" type of way.  If someone is mad, you get mad back.  This is why in several books they use the term, "the great leap," for when a person begins to live from their heart rather than the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd chakras.  see note at bottom of post  As a follower of Jesus Christ, you are asked to do your best to live with unconditional love, compassion, charity, and non-judgement.  You are asked to live with an open heart and put off the natural man who says "an eye for an eye."

Your heart center is associated with your capacity to give and receive love and service.  It is associated with your cardio vascular system, immune system, and endocrine system and color/frequency is green.  If your heart center is blocked your emotions will be distorted.  You may know someone loves you, but not be able to FEEL it.  You may love your child, your spouse, your parent, your friend, but if your heart is hardened, or blocked, with anger, distrust, judgement, or any other emotion, you may not be able to feel it.  Blocks on the heart, like blocks in any area of your life, rob you of a piece of the joy that is available to you.

It is so interesting how all of these emotional/spiritual things can show up in our physical bodies.
Foods and herbs that feed and cleanse your physical heart center body systems, will also help feed and cleanse trapped emotions from that region.  We are such complex beings!  If any of you have done much yoga (pranayama or asana) you may have experienced holding a pose and feeling unexpected emotions flood to the surface.  Crazy right!?  Well, when you physically open and breath light and life into a blocked area, you feel those emotions as they cleanse out.  Cayenne pepper and garlic are powerful herbs for the 4th chakra.  If you are working on cleansing your 4th chakra, that cleanse will be empowered by doing a blood cleanse.  (Remember when you are doing cleanses to work from the bottom up.  You don't want to do a blood cleanse just to have all of those toxins get backed up in the liver, bowel, or kidneys.)  It is interesting to note that when your heart is open, your immune system is strong.  If you are feeling down, depressed, lonely, and broken hearted, your immune system is weakened.  That's scriptural too! (Anyone have a reference on that? I'm feelin lazy I think ;))

The scriptures talk about having a broken heart and a contrite spirit.  A broken heart is an open heart.  When your heart is broken, you pour out your soul to heaven. and the Lord can mold and shape you.

There is so, so much that could be said about every chakra.  Feel welcome to ask me for more information if you wonder about something that I didn't include!  I'm not much for taking my sweet time on reading, editing, and such.  I hope this gives you something to ponder over and that it brings more awareness to you in moments when you feel your heart begin to harden.  This is a big one!  Times like these perfection seems SO far away!  Thankfully, we don't have to be perfect on our own.  We do it in and through Christ, or not at all.

[The lower chakras are typically more associated with the physical world (the world outside of you), while the upper chakras (beginning with the heart center) are more spiritual ("the world behind your eye"-to quote Carolynn Myss), although all chakras ARE associated things both spiritual and temporal.  Here's an example: the 1st chakra relates largely to being grounded and feeling safe and taken care of in the PHYSICAL world, but even something that physical is also spiritual because it requires faith and trust in Heavenly Father to find a true sense of safety and peace that your needs will be met, thus connecting to both physical and spiritual aspects.]

The 3rd Chakra

I hesitate to write.  As more time passes since the previous posts on the 1st and 2nd chakras, I think of more and more things I should have included in those posts.  There is just SO much information and I don't want to leave stuff out that could be helpful!  Sigh.  For now, I'll say what comes up--and if you have questions or want to talk something over-let me know!  You guys are how I get motivated to write more! ;)

Okay....the third chakra is a big one.  The color, or associated wave frequency, ;) is yellow.  This energy center is located in your abdominal region and is associated physically with your stomach, gall bladder, kidneys, pancreas and liver.  This means, problems with digestion, ulcers, gallstones, liver problems, and pancreatic problems are signs that your third chakra needs some extra attention.
Your third chakra deals with your view of your self, your self worth.  The highest truth for your third chakra is "I honor myself."  A more complete truth would be, "I am a child of God and I honor myself."  That's loaded right!  What does it mean to honor yourself?  Well, it means that you #1 recognize and honor your BOUNDARIES with others, #2 do your best to live in accordance with your TRUE, deep down beliefs, #3 recognize that your worth is not based on how much you do, or do not accomplish, on your income, your body type or anything else, it is inherent in you-regardless of where you have been or what you have done, #4 you truly believe that you are worthy of love and worth something.
Looking further into #1, honoring your boundaries, the third chakra can take a big hit in destructive relationships.  If you have someone you love, or associate with, that judges you, or makes you feel diminished-on purpose or not, those interactions are detrimental to your third chakra.  If you are very attached to that person, you will have an etheric cord connecting you to them from your solar plexus (or third chakra).  We have negative cords and positive cords.  We want to cut the negative cords so that we take our power back in those relationships.  If you know for example, that every time you talk to a person, they are always critical of you and your choices, you want to cut the negative cords between you.  (More on that shortly.)  Doing this will help empower you to lovingly set up boundaries with them, and to not take their criticism to your gut should it arise again.  It will also make it easier for you to stand up to them and kindly express the way you need to be treated.
#2-When we believe something is wrong, and do it anyway, it wears away at our feelings of self worth.  It takes away the spiritual power that the Lord wants for his spiritual warriors.  This applies mostly when we WANT to sin, not so much when we are living the best we can.  It can however still effect your self worth if you allow your natural human weaknesses to take you into negative cycles of harsh self judgement.  Our weaknesses are to help us stay humble, to help us recognize continually our dependence on the Lord and his atonement, NOT for us to beat ourselves up for our imperfections.  Learning to access the power of the atonement daily will help empower your third chakra so that you can shine your light for the Lord.
#3-When you base your worth on anything external, it is false.  When you tie something in your life to your self worth, and it goes wrong, you may feel sick to your stomach.  If you placed your worth on how much money you can make, and you loose your job, you will feel worthless, and again, likely ill.  If you place your worth on how physically cute or handsome you are, when you age, have an accident, or gain weight, your self worth will take a blow.  I probably say this in every chakra post, but our bodies often give us signals as a wake up call for us to contact the spiritual physician.  We are children of God, and our worth is inherent.  When we do not feel of worth, we often won't receive feelings of unconditional love from our father in heaven, or anyone else.
#4-This has already been touched on, but when YOU believe that you have inherent worth, and that you deserve wonderful things, your light can shine brighter and it allows the Lord to bless you more.  The Lord cannot bless you beyond that which you are ready to receive.  Sometimes we do not really believe we are worth certain blessings (does that make sense?).  You can even receive a Priesthood blessing and keep some of the blessings from happening from your disbelief.  Disbelief in yourself can be a lack of faith, because YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD, and he has a tremendous work for you which you are completely capable and worthy of with His companionship.  Any feelings about yourself that are less than that, are LIES, and will hurt your 3rd chakra.
There are many lies that we believe about ourselves that hurt our self worth and effect us here, in the third chakra.  We may believe that we're not as smart, funny, capable, worthy of love, or blessings as someone else.  Those things are not true.  We, of course, cannot compare ourselves to others.  Doing that is not honoring the beautiful, worthy, unique being that is us!  (I was totally doing this, like last week, so don't think I apply all of this perfectly.  But knowledge can really be a tool to help you realign with the highest truth when you recognize that your thoughts or feelings are off track..)
Hopefully that gives you a little bit of helpful information!  I'm already thinking of more things that are important to the 3rd chakra, like forgiving ourselves.  There is always so much I can say, but hopefully you have enough of a knowledge base that you will realize some more things that tie in.  As always, if you have any specific questions or issues that you want to talk with my about, you are welcome to message me privately on facebook or post a question on here.  As I mentioned before, I basically am only motivated to post when I have friends asking me questions. :)

We're all in this together!  The Lord wants us to work through these things and claim the powerful blessings that he has for us so that we can be a light to the world!  These are the last days, and he needs us all!  The work that you do with him to heal yourself, is a sacred and important work.

Blesssings :)

Cutting negative cords:  Do you think I'm crazy yet?  Ok, you can do this with a specific person in mind, or you can do it in a general way and just include "all negative cords."  In a prayer, get yourself feeling really connected to Heavenly Father, then let Him know that you are ready to cut all negative cords (or just the cords between you and the person you're thinking of) then in your minds eye envision, and maybe even feel, the cords dropping.  After you feel that part has been done, ask for the remaining holes (on you and on the other people) to be filled with Christ's love and light.  Remember you are only cutting negative cords.  This does not mean you are cutting your entire attachment to this person, if you love them and want them in your life, you are just taking away the avenue on which you receive their judgement.

The Second Chakra

Sorry this post was so slow comin!  I haven't forgotten about it!  Here's some info on the second chakra:

The physical location of the second chakra is just below the navel.  The associated color or vibration is orange.

The second chakra is associated with relationships with others and how you see yourself in relation to others, sexuality, finances, fear and guilt.  Creativity is also sometimes linked to the second chakra.

Some signs that your second chakra is out of whack would be having skewed feelings of your own sexuality, having a sexually skewed view of others, always comparing yourself to others and not feeling good enough or feeling better than others, buried sexual trauma, fear, guilt, blame, anger, or fear about finances.

The reproductive organs, bowels, and bladder will physically manifest imbalance in the second chakra.  Remember that your body and your spirit work together to help you heal.  If you are having symptoms in one of these areas, you can start healing right now.  Bringing awareness to the underlying issue will help you start to redefine yourself.  You can begin to consciously forgive and consciously practice handing your anger and blame  (or whatever your particular emotion might be) over to Christ.  I imagine taking the feelings and putting them all in a red box and handing them to him.  I then imagine that he transmutes it to white light.  One other way I visualize it is with the residue of those emotions falling off me onto the ground and then again, Christ transmuting that to light.  Whatever way that you find works for you, know that he suffered for our pain, and not only our sins and that he WILL take it and he will heal the space that is left in it's place.

Forgiveness is a tremendous blessing that will create so much more space for love and joy.
"Then Peter came and said to Him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."     -Matthew 18:21-22

The highest truth for the second chakra is "love one another."  When we fully emotionally love and respect others, give others the benefit of the doubt, trust that the Lord will bless us financially as we love, serve, and obey His voice, respect ourselves in relation to others, and forgive those that may have hurt us, our second chakra will be balanced.

The First Chakra

The physical location of the first chakra is the pelvic floor, or base of the spine.  The associated color or vibration is red.

The first chakra is associated with matters of foundation, issues and beliefs that relate to our family, our belief system, grounding, and physical survival.  Childhood or current family issues would be some of the things energetically and physically stored in the first chakra,

Some symptoms you may have if your first chakra is out of balance are dizziness and lack of physical energy.   You may feel unsettled, a lack of security, fearful or anxious about changes or shifts in a physical move or a change in your family dynamic, a lack of trust for a family member, a difficult relationship with a child, or might just feel ungrounded.  There are tons of things that could create a need to give your first chakra a little extra attention.  I have to consciously reground myself almost every day, and often dizziness is my reminder.  Other symptoms could be dis-ease in any of the associated body parts which are: your coccyx, anus, adrenal glands, large intestines, legs, feet and skeletal system,  If we hold on to negative belief systems for long enough, they begin to manifest physically.

How do you "ground" yourself and what does that mean?  Grounding is just connecting yourself with the earth and it helps to balance your first chakra, and really your whole system. "Positive electrons in the form of free radicals (ever heard of those guys?) can build up in our bodies and direct contact with the ground balances this out as it is a negative grounding charge." (http://wellnessmama.com/5600/how-to-get-healthy-while-you-sleep/) Everything functions better with a strong foundation.  Grounding helps me feel less anxiety and stress and also helps me stay more present.  It helps my RLS as well (rest-less leg syndrome) and is known to help with sleeplessness.  You can ground spiritually, like I often do, by imagining something tying or connecting you to the earth.....roots going from your feet down into the earth, even drilling down through the core of the earth. To physically ground, you can go lay in the lawn, pull weeks, or walk barefoot in the yard.  I am often advised by the spirit to tell people to exercise and spend more time outside to help ground and balance them.

There are so many tools that the Lord has given us for healing, these tools are huge blessings, but ultimately it is through Christ that we are healed.  And he wants to help us work through these things so that we can receive more love and joy in our lives.  When we believe his words and do our best to live a Christ-like life, we are automatically balanced and healed a piece at a time. Our bodies are a gift from God and OFTEN, when our bodies have any sort of chronic issue, and sometimes also acute issues, they are signaling us to pay attention to a buried belief.

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?....for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  ...Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself." (Matthew 6:31-32, 33)

Trust that the Lord is in charge, and that he loves you and will continue to take care of you!  When you believe this to the degree that you can hand the Lord your stress and worry over family and physical things, your first chakra will be more in balance.

Highest truth
ALL IS ONE
"he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." (Cor 6:17)

What are Chakras?

We are beings of light, and the light spectrum is broken up into a frequency rainbow, each color corresponding to an energy center, that is our chakra system.  Those who can see auras, or spiritual light can see these colors. If our chakra system were in perfect balance and alignment, as Christ's was and is, all of these colors would combine perfectly to radiate a pure white light.

All colors, beings, sounds, emotions, etc have a frequency.  We are spiritual, emotional, and physical beings and our emotions and thoughts most definitely effect us on a physical level. Feelings create physical responses and chemicals that ultimately, if not completely cleansed out and processed properly, will store in the body parts associated with the related chakra.

Our chakra system is primarily energetic and emotional but it also effects us on a physical level. It is basically on organized processing system.  Emotions and beliefs automatically go to the corresponding chakra to be processed or stored.  Because of this, the chakra system gives us a sort of key to many physical ailments.  For example, many throat problems are likely associated with the fifth chakra and possibly your true voice being heard.  Many stomach problems are likely linked to third chakra issues and something like doubting your self worth or not living the way you know you should or want to.  Knowing about the chakra system can assist you in finding and healing issues you are holding onto-consciously or not.

Most, if not all of us have beliefs about life, ourselves, and/or reality that are not true.  "It's hard to make ends meet," ."I can't trust people, they always break their word." "it takes time to heal," "I don't deserve to be loved" and so on.  Holding on to these lies clogs up the flow of energy and limits the amount of light and truth we can receive in that area of our lives.  It also limits the miracles the Lord can work for us.
"And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, BELIEVING THAT YE SHALL RECEIVE, behold it shall be given you."
-3 NE 18:20

If you truly believe your life is supposed to be hard, you will have a hard time allowing the Lord to carry your burdens and receiving his peace.

How does this relate to the chakra system again?  Each belief is held in the chakra that relates to it.  A belief of "I don't deserve to be loved" would be held in the heart chakra, and it would prevent you from attracting love or receiving the love that is already around you.

If we were all 100% in tune with the Lord, and we believed all of His words every moment, we went about doing good and we never believed anything dark or cruel, our chakra system would be perfectly balanced and we would radiate that perfect white light that comes from Christ.

My intention in sharing this information about the chakra system is for the sole purpose of helping you to be more in tune with God in your life.  It is a tool of knowledge that He can use to communicate with you about where in your life you need to more fully trust him and how you can better honor your own divine nature.

The Lord Knows Our Needs

One thing that is evident to me over and over again, when I have the opportunity to do energy work, is that the Lord know our needs.  I often don't know the person I'm doing work for, and sometimes they are not present to even give me any feedback, but the words that the Lord gives me for each person are so specific to them and their needs.

This was especially obvious to me last month when I was able to go do work for 5 of my sister-in-law's clients in a row.  She's a midwife and I met with them after their prenatal appointments.  It was so cool to me how totally different each appointment was.  One person was told to meditate more, another was told they need to sing really loudly around the house, and another was told how important it is for them to stay present and focus on the work the Lord has for them TODAY.  In previous sessions I know the Lord has advised people to pray more, or to trust him in specific situations, or he has allows loved ones to come down and share a message that the person has needed to hear from them.

I share these things just to say that the Lord knows us.  He speaks to us in our own language and in our own time.  He teaches us line upon line, precept upon precept, and when we are ready for it.  He doesn't try to make us work through all of our issues all at once.  We process and work through our issues as we are ready, and as they come up.

Some consistent truths that always show up in one way or another are: that the Lord loves all of his children, that his hand is in the details of each of our lives, that each of us has people watching over and assisting us from the other side, and the Lord wants us to each do what we need to do to FEEL him with us and to be able to receive more of his love and joy in our lives.

What is Energy Work?

I have done energy work here and there for about 11 years.  For any of you who may be unfamiliar with energy work, for me, it is using a form of prayer, listening to the spirit, and using the light of Christ to assist a person in healing.  I do not do any healing.  The work is between the person I am assisting, their higher self, Heavenly Father and Christ.  Many times I feel loved ones who have passed on come to support the healing or to share a healing message with the person.  EVERY time, there are angels called in, often guardian angels are present, and I also always cast out any dark spirits present in the name of Christ.

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and for me, this work fits beautifully into my religious and spiritual knowledge and practice.  They strengthen and deepen each other and I'm so grateful that I get to experience both.  They really are not even two separate things, as truth is truth, and all things are spiritual--but for the sake of explanation, I'm grateful I have both. :)  I will word all of the things I share according to my experiences and beliefs without trying to alter it slightly to make all people feel comfortable. Please take what is useful and feels right and helpful to you and choose to not be offended by the rest.  It is important that I am totally authentic and open.

As much as possible, I want to share in writing my entire knowledge base on the chakra system.  I do not of  course claim that these things are all there is to know on chakras, or that I am some major authority on the topic.  I simply feel impressed to share the things that the Lord has placed in my life with the hope of helping others become more aware and thus more capable of using the atonement and light of Christ for more effective healing in their lives.  I am always learning more about how to do this.  That's the beauty of mortality, we are not and never will be perfect.  We recognize our blessed dependence on our creator, and he continues to lead us closer to Him, line upon line.

Back to energy work!  Every light worker, or energy worker, has their unique methods they use.  Some of these include muscle testing for various physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental imbalances, Reiki, Theta healing....oh there are so many and I can't think of a lot of the names right now--of course.  BUT, it is very important that the person doing the work has pure intentions, has discernment, does the work in the name of Christ and acknowledges that all healing comes from His light.  All good things come from God, and healing is absolutely a good thing.

I will start writing when I get time here and there.  I will just dive in and start giving you what I know about each chakra and some different scenarios I've experienced relating to those chakras while doing energy work with people over the years.
